Advance Salary Settings

How to Access advance salary settings

  1. On the awesome bar search for advance salary settings

  1. Click On advance salary settings and a page shown below will be displayed

Advance Percentage

This is the amount/Percentage of the gross salary the employee receives as Advance salary i.e 40% of gross salary 

Fill in the following details under the advance percentage fields 

  1. Default advance percentage
  2. Maximum allowed percentage

Advance Salary Accounts

These are the accounts you want the money to hit when the transactions are made 

Fill in the following details

  1. Salary Advance Receivable Account
  2. Payment Account
  3. Mode of Payment

Salary Components Settings

These are the salary components that will be directly used when we mark the advance,absent and overtime.

Fill in the following details in the fields 

  1. Advance Salary Component
  2. Absent Salary Component
  3. OT1.5 Salary Component - Normal Days
  4. OT2 (Holiday) Salary Component

Overtime Processing Settings

In this section we choose the various absenteeism modes we want to use in the system to run our overtime processing
We have the following modes under this section 

  1. Absent Marked Only
  2. Hours Based

Absent marked only 

If we select this option the system will automatically include attendance records with status Absent or Half Day in the absent table.

Hours Based 

If we select this option the system will automatically compute absenteeism hours for Present employees who worked fewer hours than expected.

Hour rate calculation

This settings enables one to calculate overtime based on hours worked that particular month 

Hour rate calculation method

Under this we have the following methods 

  1. Fixed standard hours
  2. Days of the month
  3. Working hours based on weekdays

Fixed Standard Hours 

If you select this option the system will calculate overtime based on standard working hours per month 

Days of the month 

If this option is selected the overtime will be calculated based on the standard working hours per day 

Working Hours based on weekdays 

If we select this option we have to define 

  1. Standard working hours on weekdays
  2. Standard hours on weekends
  3. Weekend days
